At Tea App, we want you to be satisfied with your subscription. This Refund Policy explains when and how you can request a refund.
1.Free Trial
All new subscriptions begin with a 7-day free trial.
You will not be charged during the trial. Cancel anytime before it ends to avoid being billed.
If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and your payment method will be charged.
2.Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at hello@theteaapp.co. When you cancel:
- Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
- You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods.
- No partial refunds are issued for unused time in your current billing period.
3.Refund Eligibility
Automatic Refund
- Duplicate charges: If you were charged more than once for the same billing period, we will automatically refund the duplicate.
- Billing errors: If you were charged after successfully cancelling, we will issue a full refund.
Refund by Request
- First billing cycle: If you are unsatisfied within the first 14 days after your first paid charge (not the trial), you may request a full refund.
- Service issues: If the Service was materially unavailable during a significant portion of your billing period, you may request a prorated refund.
Not Eligible for Refund
- Charges older than 14 days (unless due to billing error)
- Failure to cancel before a free trial converts to a paid subscription
- Dissatisfaction with background check results (results depend on available public records)
- Accounts suspended or terminated for violation of our Terms of Service
4.How to Request a Refund
Email us at hello@theteaapp.co with:
- Your account email address
- The date and amount of the charge
- The reason for your refund request
We will review your request and respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method and may take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement.
5.One-Time Purchases
One-time purchases (such as content removal services) are non-refundable once the service has been initiated. If we have not yet begun work on your request, you may request a full refund within 24 hours of purchase.
6.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
